Of course it´s a bit weird: sushi in the French Pyrenees. But tasty nevertheless! Leuntje, the owner of Aire du temps, used to run a sushi catering service in Holland. And she can´t really let it go... so if there are enough people around who want to learn how to prepare sushi, she is ready to pull out all the stops.

 

DIY sushi

Look, making sushi is a craft. At first sight it seems quite a fuss, with the bamboo mats and the seaweed and all. But practice makes perfect. It really does.

A sushi class - minimum 4; maximum 12 people - takes 2 hours. We tell you all about the ingredients. Then we show you how to do it. And then you start playing with rice and soba (buckwheat spaghetti); with tofu and fish, vegetables and seaweed. We also provide nice (degradable) transparent boxes, in which you can put your first homemade DIY sushi. You´ll be surprised, and you´ll certainly impress friends and family.

Our ingredients are always fresh, and mainly organic. Of course we offer the traditional sushi with fish, but we also make them with tofu, or just with vegetables. Very tasty as well, and fit for vegetarians.

 

Where?

Sushi-classes "@home" (at your own place) are available within a radius of ± 50 kilometers of Saint Gaudens (31, 32, 65). If you want, we can stick to a short demonstration only and leave the results with you. You can eat it yourself, unless of course you want to share it with your guests ;-).

Price of a sushi class : 35 Euros per person.
