Bouto-Houec, "he who lays the fire" in Occitanian, is the original name of our property

Altitude: 500 metres...

... but some people want to go even higher (in our backyard - only possible in low season)

The entrance of the campsite gets slippery so is not recommended to caravans and campervans

View from the campsite of the Pic du Gar and other mountains

Between the Garonne and Barousse valley: peace and quiet - also for children

Mini-supermarket in our basement

Our own road, so no traffic

Campsite Aire du temps

If you're travelling round with a tent, you are most welcome at our rural campsite. It's located at an altitude of 500m, with splendid mountain views. We have room for one rental caravan (fully equipped) and five tents maximum - that is, if we want to keep it quiet en spacious, which we certainly do. The camping area is situated at the end of our own road, a bit lower than the house itself.

There are a water tap and a small bathroom (compost toilet; washbasin; warm shower) at the campsite. Up at the house you'll find a 'normal' toilet. Recently we placed a small fridge, to be shared with other campers.

NB: The campsite entrance involves a slope that can get slippery, which is why we donīt recommend our campsite to owners of caravans and campervans.

Much more

As our guest you are free to make yourself comfortable in the garden and use the hammocks, as well as the swimmingpool for the little ones and/or the fireplace at the campsite. From our plot you can directly walk up the Gert mountain, taking a walk through forest and over mountain meadows. But thereīs so much more to see and do in the surrounding area! We can provide you with all the necessary maps, brochures and guidebooks.

Eating and drinking

Of course, being a camper, you can be totally self-supporting. But you might as well join our breakfast table - call it tent & breakfast. And naturally we filled up our fridge with cold drinks, in case you get thirsty. To guests we also sell a limited selection of groceries (including wine and chocolate and nice things like that), and - if available - fresh herbs and vegetables from our own garden, organically grown.
